26/10 CAFÉ COMETA // SANT ANTONI

My favourite way to spend sundays is exploring a new neighbourhood and then spending some time in a nice café, having my daily Café con Leche! A few weeks ago I scrolled through the instagram of one of my favourite blogs, Petite Passport, read about Café Cometa and later that day another friend recommended it so the first thing I did that sunday was looking for it. It was so nice I immediately thought about making a post about it. The coffee there is quite nice and the frappes are just perfect! I also really love the interior design and decoration, which is colourful and a bit artsy but not too much, just how I like it. The people there are a great mix of young families, hip-looking creatives and neighbours all ages, it's always busy and probably not the best place to study but to relax a bit, watch die people on the sidewalk walking past and test your Spanish by reading on of the many magazines laying around. Café Cometa belongs to the gallery and café Galeria Cosmo, which is bigger and very busy and crowded but has the same food (and amazing frappes) and is a bit more central, on Carrer Enric Granados, 3.

The neighbourhood Sant Antoni turns out to be one of my top 3, right after Gracia and El Raval. It's a bit less posh than the Eixample but a bit more than El Raval, it's packed of nice cafés and restaurants and perfect for a sunday, since shops, which would be closed sundays anyways, are rare but there is a huge bookmarket close to the big market hall, the best place to go if you're looking for cheap books. I really advise an excursion through this barrio, besides Café Cometa I can recommend the "famous" Federal Café, which might be a bit too hyped but still very nice, with a great rooftop terrace,  Café Taranna, right across Café Cometa, and the donut shop La Donutería right next to it.
