I think it's not necessary to tell you over and over again how much I liked Lisbon and what an amazing city it is and so on and so on. Just one thing: go go go, visit it, have a great time, safe a lot of money because it's cheap (I'm speaking of 10€ for a pretty good hostel bed and 9 for a perfect three-course-menu), it's laid-back, it's young and creative, and beautiful and busy and not too big but big enough. And so close to Europe's most beautiful beaches. And after booking your flights takes notes and follow this little guide around one of my favourite cities.

Portugal is already some weeks ago and every day I planned on posting about our journey and every day I just ended up not finding a single free minute in which I was still able to think straight. For the past days I basically moved into the library and the rare few hours I got at home could only be spent watching some (very, very undemanding) TV series. It took me 3 days to edit some few photos, 2 more to format the post and now the only thing left is writing. I figured since this is what I have been doing for the whole day already anyways a few more minutes won't be the problem anymore so here we go: a loong post about our time in Lisbon, to make up for all those post-free weeks.

Back in spring 2012 I went on a trip to Portugal. Visiting Lisbon and Cascais we spent 2 wonderful weeks there and I just can't wait to go back one day. Especially Lisbon was so beautiful and sunny and the beaches close to the city were exactly how I like beaches: empty, a bit rough and windy, with bright blue water and cute fisher boats and shelters in the dunes. It was the first journey I took my DSLR and I have to confess I took about 1500 photos so you might get an idea about how I just forgot going through them and preparing posts. A few days ago I klicked through my Lightroom and found them, realising I have never posted them (excpet for some taken in Cascais: click here to see them!) so here we go: A throwback to a trip to the beautiful Lisbon in April 2012!

I spent one week in Porto, Portugal with Cosi, the pretty girl on the photos above. Some impressions for you, even if it's some time ago. // I have to confess I didn't use my camera since then... well, almost. It's dark when I leave the house in the morning and dark when I get back home and on the weekends I either got so much to do that I can't even think about taking some photos or I just don't know what to photograph. Other cities like Florence and Porto inspire me so much but being at home I don't have ANY ideas for posts. If you got any idea for me pleeeease let me know in a comment or at ask.fm! :) Luckily I got two more prepared for you so stay tuned :)
Stay tuned :)
