A few weeks ago Maja visited me and after cycling through the whole centre, eating stroopwafels and wandering around the 9 staatjes district we took the ferry to the other side of the Ij. 

9 STRAATJES AT DUSK

One last post from the weekend Cosi was visiting me. The photos are actually all taken by her and I just love how they capture the wonderful atmosphere in the 9 Straatjes district right after sunset.

SATURDAYS

When Cosi was here we spent a wonderful sunny Saturday in the 9 Straatjes district, wandering around, having baguette and hummus sitting in the sun by a canal and taking far too many photos. The weather was so beautiful and the colours so nice that I'm getting more and more excited for summer to come.

AMSTERDAM MY LOVE

Cosi is here in Amsterdam for the weekend and the weather couldn't have been any better on Thursday. It's still quite cold but super sunny and we cycled along the canals and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the city centre.

ALONG THE KEIZERSGRACHT

Okay yes, the houses along the canals are for sure the most photographed ones in Amsterdam but I just couldn't resist walking around like a crazy tourist with my camera, taking photos of every pretty corner we passed by. The light was beautiful and the temperatures suddenly so mild that it felt a little bit like we skipped February and March and went straight forward to April.

HOTSPOT: ANNA & NINA - DE PIJP

I took these photos a while ago, when I was exploring De Pijp and all its cute little stores and boutiques so now, that I'm trapped in the Uni on a Friday afternoon (and this one time not because of a deadline or my workload but because of one of those Dutch storms that don't want you to step outside...) I have some time to finally post them.

A field trip to De Hallen in Amsterdam Oud West turned out to be the perfect opportunity to explore the neighbourhood a bit, enjoy the beautiful golden October light and discover new hotspots.

The 9 Straatjes are probably the closest it can get to a paradise for people who love concept stores and stylish cafés like me. There is literally one cool place next to another but it was definitely love on first sight when I came across Pluk Amsterdam!

I've been to De Pijp a couple of times now and every time I love it more and more. Last Wednesday I walked around with a friend looking for a present and I found 3 amazing concept stores all next to each other. I could have made a post about all three of them but I'd rather post a little more often than once a week so here we go, Part 1 of three super cute concept stores in De Pijp, Amsterdam.

A DAY IN JORDAAN

Having a friend over for the weekend makes not-studying for a while reasonable so instead of hitting the books (and procrastinating) I spent a perfect Saturday in Jordaan which is really one of my favourite neighbourhoods.

HOTSPOT: COFFEE AND COCONUTS

I have a weakness for hip and hyped cafés (suprise surprise) so I obviously had to try out CT Coffee and Coconuts, which is definitely one of the most featured Amsterdam-hotspots in the blogger world. And it was so worth it!

I don't live in the city centre and it is always quite a bike ride to go there (okay then again it's only 20 mins by bike but still...) so I thought I should give the neighbourhoods in between a try and this morning I went to explore the Pijp.

Having your Mom over for the weekend means finally something for lunch that isn't cornflakes with peanutbutter. And if you're really lucky she'll take you out to one of your favourite places to eat. 

LIFE RECENTLY

I haven't posted in a while, that is because the last weeks where so packed and super busy and also I am still missing on Wifi so I am writing this in my local (internet) cafe. I have moved to Amsterdam almost 2 weeks ago and as I mentioned in my last post moving out of my old room (and home) was quite a challenge but somehow I made it.

Sorry, dass es so lange gedauert hat, hatte einfach so viel zu tun und zu organisieren. // Jetzt bin ich schon in Barcelona, hat übrigens wie durch ein Wunder alles in den Koffer gepackt, aber, ja, ich habe viel zu viel dabei. :D Jedenfalls, alles sehr spannend jetzt, habe bisher keine Fotos  mit meiner Kamera gemacht, wird aber bestimmt bald passieren. AMSTERDAM PART 2

Some more photos of our trip to Amsterdam. I tried some new editing with my new Lightroom version (yesss finally! :D) - how do you like it? Personally, I love the colours though I'm not sure weather it's TOO colourful, almost a bit cheesy? Anyways, it fits to the song I'm gonna embed below and which totally reminds me of this time, I don't now why, we didn't even listen to it that much but it got stuck in our ears for all those days and I somehow really like it. // There are more posts coming soon - very soon - and I'm finally alomost done with my finals so I'm gonna have a lot of time to edit the videos! :)

Noch ein paar Fotos aus Amsterdam. Ich hab mal ein bisschen mit meiner neuen Lightroom Version rumgespielt und was Neues ausprobiert, ich mag dir Farben, bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher ob es nicht ein bisschen zu bunt, zu kitschig ist. Naja, jedenfalls passt es ganz gut zum Lied unten, das mich an die Zeit in Amsterdam erinnert. Wir haben es gar nicht so oft gehört aber hatten dauernd einen Ohrwurm davon, ist zwar ein bisschen sentimental und - auch - kitschig aber ich mags irgendwie. // Hab noch ein paar Posts vorbereitet und bin jetzt - fast - mit dem Abi durch, dann hab ich wieder vieeel Zeit meine Videos zu bearbeiten, das von Mallorca und auch noch eins von Amsterdam. :)

AMSTERDAM PART 1

We spent 4 days in one of my favorite cities last week and had a perfect time wandering around the whole city. We discovered some really nice places I'd like to share with you in case you'll be going to visit Amsterdam soon so there is a list with adresses below the text. // Some photos are taken by my friends, one of them is soon going to have her own blog! // There are going to be a few more posts with photos I took in Amsterdam. Travelling inspires me so much, I see everything kind of through the camera lense. It's so different to when I'm at home so I can't wait to explore more places and cities. 

Wir waren für 4 Tage in einer meiner Lieblingsstädte und sind kreuz und quer durch Grachten und Straßen gelaufen. Wir haben auch ein paar ziemlich coole Locations entdeckt, deswegen eine kleine Liste mit ein paar Amsterdam-Tipps unter dem Text. // Ein paar Fotos sind von meinen Freundinne gemacht und eine wird bald ihren eigenen Blog haben, den ich euch natürlich dann vorstellen werde! // Es wird noch ein paar weitere Posts geben mit Fotos die ich in Amsterdam gemacht hab. Reisen inspiriert mich so sehr, wenn ich unterwegs bin seh ich alles irgendwie mit einem anderen Auge, ganz anders als zu Hause. Kann es nicht erwarten noch mehr zu reisen und neue Orte zu entdecken und erkunden.

A WEEKEND IN AMSTERDAM

As you might have seen on my instagram account I've spent the last weekend in Amsterdam. I fell in love with the city all over again, my last time there was more than 3 years ago. All these nicely dressed people driving their super-stylish bikes through the cute streets along the canals or sitting on the steps outside their house reading. Have you ever seen a movie set in Amsterdam? Well, the city actually IS totally like you would imagine it. Also, besides this amazing atmosphere you can enjoy heaps of interesting museums, cute shops and cafes that serve coffee and cupcakes to some benches outside facing the canals and the sun. I totally can't wait until June when I'm going back with some friends to enjoy some summer-days in that beautiful city! 

Wie manche von euch vielleicht auf meinem Instagram gesehen haben war ich letztes Wochenende in Amsterdam und ich habe mich auf den ersten Blick wieder neu in diese Stadt verliebt. (Das letzte Mal war ich vor mehr als 3 Jahren dort). All diese stylishen Menschen auf ihren noch stylisheren Fahrrädern radeln durch die Straßen und entlang der Grachten oder sitzen auf den Stufen vor ihren Häusern und lesen in der Sonne. Falls ihr schonmal einen Film geguckt hat, der in Amsterdam spielt: alles ist einfach exakt so, wie ihr es euch vorstellen würdet. Neben dieser perfekter Atmosphäre gibt es außerdem unzählige interessante Museen, coole Shops und Cafés, die den bestellten Kaffee und Kuchen zu den Bänken am Ufer der Grachten bringen, wo man in Decken eingepackt die Sonne geniessen kann. Ich kann es kaum erwarten im Juni mit ein paar Freunden noch viel mehr von Amsterdam zu entdecken. ♡
